Playing to Win
Win Taekwondo Academy is a martial arts club that was established in October 2018 by Chief Instructor and founder Master Winston Casaclang who is a 6th Dan Black Belt, Kukkiwon certified. Our club is registered under British Taekwondo, the National Governing Body for World Taekwondo (WT) in the United Kingdom.
​
Our membership with British Taekwondo affiliates us with the British Olympic Association (BOA), World Taekwondo Europe (WTE), formerly known as European Taekwondo Union (ETU) and recognised by UK Sport and Sport England.
​
Our classes cater for anyone. Whether you are a novice to the sport or a practitioner who has experience in the art, you are welcome at Win Taekwondo Academy.

At Win Taekwondo we believe that champions aren't just born - they are selected, trained, molded and tested. We nurture raw talent to maturity with quality coaching and a true love of the sport. Humility, teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship - those are the hallmarks of Win Taekwondo Academy.
We are a high performance club who have produced British National Champions, Commonwealth Games Champions and European Champions.

MASTER WINSTON CASACLANG
Master Winston is a 6th Dan Kukkiwon certified Black Belt and has over 40 years of Taekwondo experience since joining the sport in 1986. He trained with Olympic and British National players in Kyorugi and was a former London Region Fighter at (-54 kg) fin weight. He was British Student TKD Federation Champion (Kyorugi) in 1994 to 1996. In 1997 he was a bronze medalist in the Chung Do Kwan Opens, Washington D.C. (Kyorugi).
​
After his kyorugi days, for so many years, he was selected in the GBR Poomsae Squad in 2009. He has since then achieved his Class B poomsae judging qualification. In 2013, he represented GB Poomsae Team in World Taekwondo Europe (WTE), formerly known as the European Taekwondo Union (ETU) Poomsae Championships in Alicante, Spain and was a finalist in the team event. Master Winston also represented England in the 2014 (CTU) Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland where he received Gold in the team event and Silver for his individual event. In 2015, he won Gold in the Berlin Poomsae Opens winning against seeded players from Europe. Master Winston is the current British Taekwondo National Poomsae champion for his individual category.

He is BT Instructor’s Course Approved and current DBS enhanced checked (formerly CRB) with club insurance from British Taekwondo and Child Protection trained and certified​.
COACH MELISSA CASACLANG
Coach Melissa is a 4th Dan Kukkiwon certified Black Belt and has over 35 years of Taekwondo experience. She is a former British Poomsae Southern Regional Technical Coach. Coach Melissa has a decorated track record in the British Taekwondo Poomsae National Championships. She was ranked number 1 in her category and is an 8 time individual British Taekwondo National Poomsae champion as well as an 8 time British Taekwondo National Poomsae champion for the pairs and team category!
She has represented Team GB twice for the (WT) World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships, more significantly in the first one held in 2007 Seoul, Korea and 2008 Ankara, Turkey. She has also represented Team GB twice for World Taekwondo Europe (WTE), formerly known as the European Taekwondo Union (ETU) Poomsae Championships, in 2005 Turku, Finland and 2008 Antalya, Turkey. In between the World and European Championships, Coach Melissa has won Gold in the Belgium Poomsae Opens, the Dutch Poomsae Opens and the Portuguese Opens.

She is BT Instructor’s Course Approved and current DBS enhanced checked (formerly CRB) with club insurance from British Taekwondo and Child Protection trained and certified. She is also CPD accredited and is the club's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

COACH ROMMEL CASACLANG
Coach Rommel is a 2nd Dan Kukkiwon certified Black Belt and has over 40 years of Taekwondo experience since joining the sport in 1986. He is a former London Region Fighter at (-58 kg) flyweight and a national and international medallist.

He is BT Instructor’s Course Approved and current DBS enhanced checked (formerly CRB) with club insurance from British Taekwondo, Child Protection trained and certified​ and the club Safeguarding and Welfare Officer.
​
Coach Rommel is a truly valued member of the Win Taekwondo Academy family since our opening in October 2018. Coach Rommel works closely with our team members to make sure they’re performing to the best of their ability.

Annual Membership and Insurance for British Taekwondo
Every person in a British Taekwondo club is required to be a British Taekwondo member, even Olympic Athletes.
​
In joining British Taekwondo, you will learn Taekwondo with the only Taekwondo organisation in the UK accredited to the World Taekwondo and the British Olympic Committee.

Monthly Training Fees for Juniors
(4-12 Years Old)
This entitles two training days in the week (Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 6:45pm).
Grading or belt promotion test fee is not inclusive in this cost.

Monthly Training Fees for Seniors (13 Years Old and Above)
This entitles two training days in the week (Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:50pm to 7:50pm).

​Grading or belt promotion test fee is not inclusive in this cost.

Quarterly Grading Fee (Belt Promotion) for Kup Grades
This is the fee applicable for a belt promotion test for students eligible to take part in our quarterly gradings.
​
This includes an official Win Taekwondo Academy Kup grade certificate (fully approved by British Taekwondo) with the promotional belt for successful candidates.
